Aeris Resources Limited (ASX: AIS) is one of Australia’s most compelling mid-tier copper and precious metals producers — a company with deep roots in the nation’s mining heartland and an ambitious vision for growth that aligns perfectly with the global energy transition. Aeris Resources is also a key member of the International Copper Association Australia
Headquartered in Brisbane and with a footprint in four Australian states, Aeris has built a diversified, copper-dominant portfolio essential to Australia’s critical minerals story. With more than 600 employees across its operations and corporate office, the company is a meaningful employer and economic contributor in some of Australia’s most important regional communities.
The Cornerstone: Tritton Copper Operations, NSW
At the heart of Aeris is the Tritton Copper Operations, located near Cobar in central New South Wales — one of Australia’s most established copper-producing regions. Tritton is the company’s largest revenue contributor and the anchor around which a compelling hub-and-spoke growth strategy is being built.
Aeris is actively extending mine life through a series of high-grade satellite deposits — including Avoca Tank, Budgerygar and the flagship Constellation Project. In early 2026, the NSW Minns Government approved the development application for the Constellation copper mine, recognising its importance as a new source of high-quality ore to sustain and grow Tritton’s long-term output. Constellation is a proposed underground and open cut mine with open-pit grades reaching 2.5% copper — well above industry averages — and underground ore exceeding 2% copper.
Also in early 2026, Aeris announced it was set to acquire Peel Mining Limited’s South Cobar Copper Projects include two high-grade deposits, Mallee Bull and Wirlong – both within trucking distance to Tritton. This is a strategic acquisition is a natural-fit and positions the Tritton Operations’ mill as a central processing hub in a copper-rich region.
Copper has been designated by the NSW Government as one of the state’s five priority metals under its Critical Minerals and High-Tech Metals Strategy, directly validating the strategic importance of Aeris’ Tritton Operations.
A Growing Portfolio Across Australia
Beyond Tritton, Aeris operates the Cracow Gold Operations in central Queensland, producing approximately 40–50,000 ounces of gold per year, with ongoing exploration continuing to add ounces to the mine plan.
Aeris is continuing exploration at its Jaguar Project in WA (in care and maintenance), focussed on long-life operations and high-priority base metal targets. At the same time, the company is also advancing the Stockman Project in East Gippsland, Victoria — an advanced, long-life copper-zinc development project that represents a significant future growth option.
This multi-asset, multi-commodity platform gives Aeris the resilience and optionality required to navigate evolving commodity markets while maintaining a clear focus on copper as its core value driver.
Financial Momentum and a Strengthening Balance Sheet
Aeris has made significant financial progress in recent years. In its FY26 half-year results, the company recorded revenue of approximately $306 million(HY26) and net income of A$48 million (HY26)— reflecting a net margin improvement to 15.6% , up from 10.1% the prior half year. Earnings growth of 62% underscores the operational improvements flowing from the Murrawombie open pit and the Constellation development pipeline.
Aligned with the Energy Transition
Aeris Resources is a company whose future is directly tied to one of the world’s most important structural trends. Copper is the essential metal of decarbonisation — indispensable for electric vehicles, renewable energy infrastructure, power grids and the broad electrification of industry and communities. As global demand for copper accelerates, Aeris is investing to ensure Australia plays a central and sovereign role in meeting that demand.
A Partner in ICAA’s Drive to Net Zero — ConnectOre
