ICA India is working with the refrigeration and air conditioning industry to improve standards and boost research.
ICA India has recently signed two Memorandum of Understandings with key Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning-HVAC-stakeholders to help improve energy efficiency standards, raise awareness, boost best practice and improve research and development.
A Memorandum of Understanding with the Refrigeration and Air Conditioner Trades Association (RATA) will develop a series of Variable Refrigerant Flow-VRFS-seminars this year with designers, consultants, service providers, component suppliers, OEMs and installers. The seminars are designed is to educate and create awareness about best practises on selection, design, commissioning, installing and maintaining VRFs.
The first seminar took place in January in Ahmedabad and covered topics like 1 Energy Conservation Case Study for Mini Office, Retrofitting Multiple Split Air Conditioners with VRF systems, and copper and copper alloys in VRF systems.
A second Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) green lighted a ‘Research-in-ISHRAE’ to boost understanding of the impact of corrosion on various metals in condenser coils including copper.
