Cut the Cable right? I see that a lot and yes wireless at home offers tons of convenience & flexibility, but it can also mean dead zones & signal drops.
Trying to network all those gadgets around your home can get tough. The further you move from your router or put gadgets in areas with a lot of interference adds connection problems that can affect how they work.
Lots of things can affect connection, from brick walls to a microwave oven. Which is why building out a mesh network with wired hubs around the house or apartment or office makes sense.
Running an additional connection point such as a wired mesh router can improve your signal, and keep devices like cameras and speakers running reliably with enough speed to keep up.
Most smart home devices may be wireless only, but that doesn’t mean a wired connection can’t be used to add another Wi-Fi mesh point or extender.
Newer homes are generally already set up with Ethernet wiring throughout, but for older home it may be necessary to run an additional Ethernet cable. For the best possible speed, running a shielded Ethernet cable is your best bet.
