Architects & designers are having a love affair with the red metal.

Whether it’s outside or inside our homes & offices copper’s been getting a whole lot of love for a while now, but is looking like the next big thing in interior design.

While copper’s had a resurgence as the go to metal for architecture, it’s the rush to feature it on kitchen benches, splashbacks, taps, tubs, pots, walls, lighting, furniture and shelving, to name just a few options, that’s really having its design moment.

As the magazine Apartment Therapy recently pointed out in a feature article Trend Spotting: Copper in the Kitchen, copper “looks fantastic anywhere in the house, but it looks especially fantastic in the kitchen. And its subtle glow and warm tones pair especially well with the dark colors that are currently all the rage in kitchen design.”

The magazine goes on to showcase some gorgeous examples of homes and design companies around the world where copper is now king.
